We were able to visit one of the greenest places around Metro Manila during our summer vacation. The place is quite near to hubbyβs home (QC) β where we stay at when weβre at the Metro. It just took us longer to find it because we have to thread a village and the people we asked werenβt as helpful.
Anyway, the place is really greenβ¦lots of trees and greenery. A big pool (which was unfortunately closed when we got there), small ponds, and a playground for kids are some of the featured amenities.

Eco-friendly
The place also has lots of color-coded trash cans as you walk around. Keeping to the ethics of an ecopark, the area is clean, no trash around which is an added bonus. Itβs really a haven for those searching respite from the busy, polluted city.
Horseback Riding
We went nature tripping there but our main purpose was toΒ horsebackride. ^_^ The kids requested for it when we were still at my momβs place (Cavite). We even had aΒ photoshootΒ for myΒ kuyaβsΒ pre-nuptial photos opposite theΒ TaalΒ Vista Hotel but never got the chance to ride the horses. So to keep our promise we took them here for the experience.
They were each allowed a ride on a pony, all three were really delighted. A ride costs 50 Php, I think. We know that horseback riding has good benefits, but weβre really happy that they enjoyed riding them. Had we the time, they could have had more rounds but rain was looming in so we had to leave soon and look for some place to wait out the rain.

Free-Roaming Animals
As we live in the city, we rarely get to see animals, only at the zoo, or at friends with dogs and cats. We only have fish at home, so theyβre not technically βpetsβ but we love them anyways. The kids are fascinated seeing ducks, goose, cats walking around and would try to follow them. I had to warn them against the goose, as I know they could attack. ^_^
Parkour
As bare as a big lot in the province, there are handmade balance beams, hanging ropes kids could play out. The kids did went trying out their parkour tricksβ¦laughing as one of them would fall off the balance beam. We are used to the customized park installations so this is new to them, and without wooden chips to fall off to, they were a bit more careful.
Trees
I do recommend a visit to this park. Itβs a different environment so to say for kids who are used in a busy, buzzling city. Though the park is in the city, the greenery would make you think otherwise. Itβs also a fun way to learn the names of the trees. They have those markers to certain trees and I remember Kakawate from my childhood, the trees we often pick the leaves of just because theyβre abundant. (Now I know better of course, wouldnβt pick out the leaves anymore, hihi.)
