Going back to Disneyland Paris (DLP) is on our bucket list for some time now. If you’ve been to my other blogs then you’ll know how I complain that time goes really fast. Especially if you have kids. Just yesterday the baby does nothing but sleep and drink milk, now they’re going to school and can do a lot of things. *sigh*
These photos were from our Disneyland Resort Paris vacation years ago. That time when the kids are still okay with being in the photos.
Those were mostly beautiful days, just windy but bearable enough to go about without jackets.
My older son having the sharpest memory among the three would always recall bits and pieces of our Disneyland experience and relay it to the little boy. He was also with us but he was around 1 year and 6 months so he couldn’t remember it well. We just let him look at the photos, and that’s one reason why we’re Going back to Disneyland Paris.
Above photo was taken just outside our hotel, then My Travel Explorer’s Hotel, in Marnee La Vallee, France. Just outside Paris and very near Disneyland…takes about 15 minutes with a shuttle ride.

What to do and what to see in Disneyland Paris?
Here’s some:
1. Dress Up
We bought an Aurora princess dress for our little girl. She wore the dress for most of a day and was happy being photographed in it. We also bought a Mickey mouse hat, which the kids took turns wearing (yes, it’s pink!) We also got matching shirts, wore them for an hour or less over long-sleeved shirts and were taken home as souvenirs. It would be a wonderful memory to have a photo of the whole family wearing a themed shirt.
2. Main Street Parade
It was a beautiful parade of characters along Main Street. I have forgotten what music was playing along, but the kids were singing along.
3. Eat as much
Disneyland has a lot of themed restaurants and Disney-themed snacks whether it’s in Fantasyland, Adventureland, or Frontierland. It was fun trying all the Mickey-shaped sweets: muffins, waffles, apple toffees, pretzels, and so much more. There are of course a number of restaurants serving American food. Burger, fries, hotdogs, and the usual fare. But steak and wine in a number of fine dining restaurants can be booked, too. If you fancy Mexican, Spanish, and what other yumminess you crave, it’s not hard to find.
4. Ride as much, Get into Stuff as much
The lines to each ride may take long, so it won’t be a lot in a day. But riding on Dumbo in an aerial carousel, the Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Big Thunder Mountain, and the waterlog rides of The Pirates and the Caribbean are all worth it. Going around Alice’s Curious Labyrinth was also fun!
5. Meet the Disney Gang
We had an autograph book signed by many Disney characters. Should look for it soon! We lined up for them with as much patience as we lined up for the rides…stores at Walt Disney Studios has all those!
6. Buy Disney Toys
We had a lot of toys bought both as distraction for the little boy and as wonderful souvenirs. There was a Buzz Lightyear that lights up, a Mickey plush, a Mickey flashing wand, playing cards, too. (Don’t forget to buy disney-themed chocolates for friends!)
7. Go up the Castle
It’s a great experience to go up and see Disneyland from above the palace. There were a lot of picturesque windows and staircases, each unique to its own.
8. Pose with Walt Disney and Mickey in a photo
One should not forget to take picture (even just a statue) of Walt Disney at any Disneyland Park. (See lowermost photo.) Just make sure that your subjects are looking at the camera. 😀
9. Take lots of Photos
As mentioned, there came a time that the kids wouldn’t allow me taking their photos anymore. This trip was one where I took a lot of their photos. Photos with the Disney characters, sets, and every little moments we could capture.
Going back to Disneyland Paris for Sure
We would surely love to visit Disneyland again and experience the other rides we didn’t get the chance to last time. It seems that the Resort keeps expanding, and they’re adding another feature or two every year. We also hope to explore Paris longer than last time and visit Parisian cat cafés. Some other reason for going back to Disneyland Paris: new experiences as kids got bigger, new rides, new photos.
And this time, the little boy would hopefully remember, more than Sully scaring him.
i also want my kid to experience disneyland. when on when> hopefully soon.. hehehe

I’m sure next time your little boys will remember.
When I saw the photos I am sure these were nostalgic since your recent photos have shown that your kiddos are much bigger na. Thanks for sharing Disneyland Paris!
i have been to Paris many times. When I took my daughter to Paris a few years ago, I just refuse to go. She was so upset that we didnt go when she found when returned. I kind of regret it but not really.
Ahh would have been a lovely experience!
