For the kids, visiting their grandparents means funβ¦Aside from their omaβs cooking (grandmom) they enjoy walking around the place and swimming at the nearby pool. Thereβs also almost always a mention of Playmobil Funpark. Itβs just a few minutes from their place. Just like before, dad-in-law would bring the first batch there (car is small for all of us) then come back for the second. First batch this time were mom-in-law, daughter and our youngest. Kuya C (my older son) stayed behind and went with hubby and I next. It was unusual since he is my mom-in-lawβs favorite and he would always go with her without a doubt when invited.

Old Time Favorites
The last time we were there, we were only 4 and I posted about it hereβ¦look at the photo of my 2 older kids in that postβ¦They were then 2 and 4! Now, theyβre 8 and 10β¦I was pregnant then with my youngest but heβs 5 nowβ¦ I specifically asked them to pose β the two older kids together as a comparison to how young they were when we first went. Prior to this, they visited 2 summers ago without me β only with my in-laws. We explored the pirate ship like the last time, this time the little boy gets to try rafting too.
We then went down the giant slide, and played some around the water fountains, getting a little bit wet. We found gold nuggets like mining them using sieves, and building castles with sands. We also get to climb up the Knightβs castle and conquered the towers. Too bad, the kids got caught for stealing chickens. ^_^
Β
Little boy wasnβt in the mood for photos, Daddy has to convince him to. The place is as colorful as we remember, Playmobil giant figures multiplied in number, a lot more water-play sections were added, thereβs a mini-golf course now and if you havenβt been to our new blog, please do, weβre having a giveaway there.
Playmobil Funpark New Features
There are many areas added to the Funpark since the last time we were there. Some were being updated continuously, others are completely new ones. Others, probably we werenβt able to see.
Mini-Golf Area
The kids love playing mini-golf, we would always go at Furthβs park when we visit, and they really enjoy it there. Now at Playmobil Funpark with 18 holes on Astroturf, they were beaming happy. The golf area is spread over a 5,000 mΒ² parkΒ built with sand bunkers, stone bridges, tunnels, and other installations for kids to enjoy going about each course.
This area has a separate entrance fee, I think 4β¬ for a child and 8β¬ for adults.
Okta Climbing Net
Climbing nets are oftenΒ a feature in big parks in Vienna. Itβs a feat for every kid if they can go up the top at on climb. Itβs really a good exercise for them, enhancing their motor skills and eye-hand-foot coordination. Going up the giant net also helps strengthen their upper core. Iβm not sure if adults are allowed to go, but we do on those in Vienna.
Balance Parkour
Same as the giant climbing net, balance beams and parkour areas are a feature in most of Viennaβs parks, albeit on a smaller scale. This too helps children strengthen their body as well as balancing and body coordination. Every balancing parkour is situated on a ground covered with would chips to lessen the impact in case a child falls.
Noahβs Ark
The Noahβs ark might have been under construction the last time we went, as we donβt remember having gone to it. Thereβs a small ark at the entrance that kids and parents can go into, but not as accurate as how as the bible describe it, still a fun experience. There are water canals that the kids can let ships: be it a cargo or a pirate ship, and boats sail in and they can also play splash with the water. Thereβs also a mini-Noahβs ark for smaller children near the golf course area.
New Dining Experience
Weβve enjoyed the usual German fares at the self-service βBeer gardenβ which is typical in Bavaria and eve in Austria. The one at Playmobil though has a modern twist to it, with the garden beautifully landscaped under lush trees. The usual pizza and pasta restaurant, ice cream parlor, and cafΓ© bar are still there, There are a lot of snack points added too like hot dogs and crepes (theyβre probably there before and we just failed to notice).
Souvenirs
Now, before you head back home, visit the Funpark shop and let the kids go and pick a souvenir or two. Itβs just by the entrance opposite the HOB, you canβt miss it. You can get individual klicky (playmobil figures) or a whole set of them including the miniature arks, ships, and even police station. The ones the kids experienced at the park has miniature versions you can find at the Funpark shop. Below photo were the klickies the little boy got for himself.
We did a lot of stuff, kids played to their heartβs content and I took photos as long as the battery lasts. Will show them here as the days progressed. This is surely another trip where hubby and I released our inner child. π
The place is not only fun it was also very scenic. It rained a bit in the morning but the sky was a lovely blue at noon.

Your kids are adorable and so is the place. Every time hubby and I want to release the inner child in us, we go to Quezon Memorial circle. Itβs not as lovely as the playmobil funpark but the place is nice for the whole family.
We love it there! The kids enjoyed the hamster ball!
Oh my god, those statues are so cute! This looks like such a fun place to take kids, I wish Iβd been there when I was little! Maybe when I have young ones of my own? π
